Assessment first: why the plan comes second.
Most programs hand you a plan in the first ten minutes. Here is why Fiona will not, and what she looks at instead.
Walk into most programs and you will have a plan in your hand before anyone has asked you a real question. It feels like service. It is actually the opposite: a plan written before the assessment is a plan written for someone else.
Fiona does it in the other order, every time, and it is not a preference. It is the whole position: advice comes after evidence or it is not advice.
What actually gets assessed
Three layers, roughly in this order.
Movement. How you squat, hinge, carry and breathe under a little load. Not to grade you, but because the plan has to start where your body actually is, not where a template assumes it is.
Lifestyle. The real week. Work hours, sleep window, travel, who cooks, what a hard Tuesday looks like. This is the layer most programs skip, and it is the layer that decides whether anything survives past the third week.
Metabolic. Where it is useful, measured work on the bike and the numbers to go with it, with clinical partners brought in when the picture calls for more than coaching.
Why this is rare
Assessment is expensive. It costs time, attention, and it caps how many clients one coach can hold. A template costs nothing and scales forever. That is the honest economics of the industry, and it is why the copy-paste version of coaching is everywhere.
The roster here stays small because the assessment is not negotiable. That is a trade Fiona made on purpose.
What it means for you
It means the first session is questions, not commandments. It means the plan you get fits the week you actually live. And it means when something stops working, there is a baseline to compare against, so the answer is a correction, not a shrug.
Ten minutes into an intro call, you will feel the difference between being sold a plan and being asked the right questions. That difference is the standard.
One call. A straight answer.
Thirty minutes with Fiona to work out where you are starting and whether this is the right fit. Weeknights to nine, weekends from nine.
